Film Production in Iran
Abstract
Appearing in Mihr, volume 5, number 9 (Bahman 1316/January–February 1938), in this article Ebrahim Moradi (1899–1977) provides an expert account of early film production in Iran. Placed within the larger international context, he offers important details concerning the production of Ovanes Ohanians’ Abi and Rabi (Abi Rabi) and Haji Aqa the Cinema Actor (Haji Aqa Aktur-i Sinama) as well as his own films, Brother’s Revenge (Intiqam-i Baradar) and Capricious (Bulhavas).
